What is Pilates?

Pilates is the ultimate mind and body workout, which works towards lengthening and strengthening the body.

Name after its founder – Joseph Pilates - Pilates has become increasingly popular since its origins nearly a hundred years ago.  

Joseph Pilates supported rehabilitating soldiers in World War 1, and realised that low impact movements as part of the rehabilitation process seemed to help the injured recover faster. This lead him to develop a series of exercises which over time has become the Pilates we know and love today.

Practising Pilates regularly is beneficial for your posture, flexibility and joint mobility - and the beauty of it is that ANYONE can participate, regardless of age or level of fitness!
